2008 New England vs San Francisco...Especially for Dee

Today in football we are going back to the 2008 season of the New England Patriots. A season that started off in the worst possible way. In the first game of regular season our beloved quarterback was injured and little did we know at the time but was going to be out for the season. Oh my...what we will do without Tom Brady? Into the game walks Matt Cassell. A QB that has never played a regular season game. Well there goes our season. Oh little did we know, how Matt would step up to the plate and have such an incredible season. Today I am featuring pictures from the game against San Francisco. Why you may ask am I bringing up a game from 2008? Well because I have this friend named Dee...I met him over at www.myfitnesspal.com and he is a die hard for his 49ers! That poor chap! Let's get to the pictures, shall we?

In the above picture you see Randy Moss. Oh Randy. How we love to hate our Randy. Well not ours anymore, but in 2008 he was. Tom and Randy were in sync with each other. How would he do with Cassel? He did what Moss does. He rocked!

Oh and here we see the now beloved Matt Cassel. Who after this season went to be the starting QB for the Kansas City Chiefs. WTG Matt! You did us proud!

Oh here he is again. Dont you love him.

Oh I saved this picture for last. The one Dee will enjoy the most. His QB being sacked. Oh wait, you mean fans dont like to see their QB sacked? Whoops, sorry Dee.

FYI...NE won this game. :)

Almost 2 weeks into this....

So this is a blog about crafting, right? Well there is more to my little ol life than crafting so sometimes you may have to read about my struggles and truimphs of my new healthy lifestyle. And anything else I might want to throw in here. You know August is coming which means football season (hopefully we have one lol) and so you know I cant resist a post or 2 about the Patriots.

But today we will talk about weight loss. Fun subject, right? About a month of so ago my mom offered to fix my car for me but in exchange for that she said she had to put a lein on something valuable of mine. In my head I was thinking "girl, you must be joking, because I have nothing of value". Oh little did I know! She said she would like to put a lein on my kidney. I was like "huh"? She told me that within a year or so she will need a kidney transplant. Including me, there are 6 of us kids. She said out of all of us, I was the only candidate. I have always said that I would give a kidney to my mom if she needed me too but I wanted to be the last on the list because I am deathly terrified of going under. Its a real fear of mine. I guess I will have to get over that fear. of course in order to even be a candidate for this, I cant be the size that I am. I have to lose weight. Two weeks ago, I finally thought that I better get serious. Last week at my "weigh in", which means my bathroom scale in front of no one, I dropped 5lbs. No biggie, probably water weight, the same ol same ol that most people see on week 1. A good drop in the lbs! This week has been completely different! The scale wasnt moving at all and I was doing everything right. Absolutely no cutting corners or cheating. Well until last night, when I decided I was going to eat that little piece of cake because the scale wasnt moving anyway, so I might as well. This morning the scale was the same as it was last Friday. Talk about frustrating!! I cant even describe the frustration. But I am going to chalk this up to water retention due to that "time" coming and keep moving forward and hope for better results next week.

I took some before pictures last week. Can you say O.M.G! Those were awful! And ones that I hope to never have to take again. And before anyway can ask, I wont be posting those until I have some progress to show lol. So stay tuned for those.

Tonight and this weekend is a challenge. Its Hoagland Days and we all know some of that carnival food is just the best. I have been talking to myself all day saying that none of that food will taste as good as being thin feels. And I will continue to tell myself that all night at the fair. Maybe I will put a sign around my neck that says "do not let me buy an elephant ear".

Bargello Technique

I recently rejoined a yahoo group that I had been a part of a long time ago. Its a group where we send one card a month to someone. Each month there is a different technique that we have to try. The point of the group was to force us to try all those neat stamping techniques that are out there that we might not have tried otherwise. For May we are doing the Bargello technique. I dont have the link for it but you can find it at www.splitcoaststampers.com This is not a technique that I would have normally tried but I am glad I was able to do it! There are so many different ways to do it. I like the clean simple look that my card turned out to be. I am glad it came out fairly cute since when I sat done to make it I had no idea what I was going to do. I think the hardest part was picking out what patterned paper to use!!

Another Mothers Day post

Every Mothers Day we take pics of everyone and their kids. This year was no different. I dont think anyone looks forward to Aunt Angie pulling out her camera and making the sit around and take pictures. My sisters even questioned me on why I was sitting them in the order I sat them in. Well this is how we sit every year. DUH! Cant mess with perfection!

My sister Tonya and my niece Brooke. Oh how she has grown! She is 17 now and it seems like just yesterday that she was a baby! She is a junior in high school and has her learning permit. Of course we all would like to keep her off the road for now. She isnt real good out there yet lol.

My sister Christine, my niece Mariah, and my nephew Jeremiah. Again these 2 have grown up so fast!! I still call my niec Riah butt. I think I will call her that on her wedding day lol. And Jeremiah is such a lover. He always wants to hug everyone! AND never will pose for pictures so this is one time of year that he doesnt cover his face!!

My sister Rebecca and her son Jace. What can I say about Jace. Hmmmm, he is definitely the handful of the bunch to put it nicely. I dont even know what else to say lol.

Me, my daughter Chantelle and my son Austin. Chantelle has grown up to be a beautiful young lady. She is now 16, will be 17 soon. She has grown to stand 6ft tall. Yes I have to look up at my own daughter lol. She will be taking her driving test on Friday to get her license. YIKES is all I can say about that. No really, she is a good driver. She even has her boat license. Yes she can drive a boat legally but not a car lol. Oh and Austin. 12 years ago that little man was born 14 weeks early weighing 2lbs 6ozs. He literally fit in the palm of your hand. It was by far the scariest time in my life. Not knowing whether your child was going to live through another day. But he is growing up so fast now. Before long they will both be adults! YIKES!

Another Mothers Day has almost passed. I hope every mother out there had a fantastic day! And like everyone I think that my mom is the GREATEST! She is always there for us no matter what. This is the card I made for her to go along with her gift. She is getting a pool installed this week and is really looking forward to everyone coming out and having sitting poolside sipping on margaritas. So I gave her a couple margarita glasses that I bought in Florida. I believed she loved them. :) AND to make this card I broke out a SU set that I bought that last year and have never used! So be proud of me all you stampers!

One would think that at the age of 35 I would have seen the ocean by now. But alas I had not. That is until Dec 2010. Les and I took a trip to see his uncle in Cocoa, Fl. The weather was decent all week but on this particular day it was kind of overcast and chilly by the water. Les didnt want to walk to the water to get our picture taken but there was no way I was not getting my pic taken at the water so I made him suck it up and do it. After the pic was taken I walked into the water so I could say that I had been in the ocean. You cant visit the ocean for the first time and NOT go in the water right? It was really cold but thats OK. :)

New England Patriots Week 3

Awwwww week 3 of the New England Patriots. This is so my favorite time of the year. Cool temps, hoodies, bonfires, hayrides, Halloween, and FOOTBALL! Tomorrow the Patriots take on the Buffalo Bills. Although it should be a shoe in that the Pats win, you just never know. Last week they lost to the Jets. Blahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Lets hope for a win tomorrow!!

oh my!! We have waited and waited and waited for this glorious day where the NFL is back!! Excuse me if I am busy every Sunday from now until the Super Bowl! :) Today the Patriots play the Bengals at home. Hopefully they will have victory! And you will all be happy to know that Tom Brady signed his contract extension and will now be the Patriots quarterback until the 2014 season! What great news, right?! I think so. Now I must go get the cleaning done because in 2.5 hrs football is on! Go Pats!!!

OK, all you football fans. This week is a big week in the NFL. :) Well at least around these parts. :) When the Patriots and the Colts play its always a big one. The Colts are going into this game undefeated so far in their season. Hopefully after playing 60 minutes of Patriot football, they wont be able to say that anymore. Cant wait for Sunday night at 8:20pm!!! GO PATRIOTS, kick those pesky Colts right in their butts!!!! And knock that cockiness right out of all those Colts fans!

This week the Patriots get to play Tampa Bay at Wembley Stadium in London. The NFL has been doing this the last few years. Every year there is a game played over in London. Usually to a sell out crowd. Stayed tuned on Sunday to watch the Patriots kick butt in London!

Hmmmmm, with a score of 59-0, do you think that the Titans even tried? They looked more like highschool kids out there playing. I think they checked out for their bye week before they even started playing. Look at all that snow they got to play in. Fun! But even with the Titans playing the way they did, we saw alot more of the Patriots team that we are used too. Brady was able to complete most of his passes and even set an NFL record with 5 touchdowns in one quarter. You go boy! I think they have probably got alot of grief for leaving Brady in so much of the game but ya know what I say to that? Its not their fault that they were there to play 60 minutes of football and the Titans didnt even want to play 60 seconds of football. On to next week and playing in London. :)

Colts/Titans Game and Patriots/Broncos Game

This is a picture of my three friends and I at the beginning of the Colts/Titans game Sunday night. I know, I have a Colts jersey on, dont be shocked. I just wore it for the game. :) We had a super good time in Nashville. Lots of memories made on Saturday night partying on Broadway. Back at my favorite bar, Legends, it was a blast! I even talked a guy into giving me his Tennessee hoodie so I wouldnt have to buy one. :) But I ended up buying another one too. I can say by far this was the best trip I have been on! It was such a GOOD time with the girls! And just what I needed!

As for my Patriots, I cant say anything. Losing in overtime to the Broncos. Ridiculous! But with overtime, its the luck of who gets the ball because normally they win. I got to see about 30 seconds of the game when we got to LP Field, and it was the field goal that won the game for the Broncos that I got to see. Oh well, onto next week. I believe that play the Titans at New England so they should be able to win it but I guess you never know.

2 days from now I will be in my favorite city in the US. Nashville, TN!!! I am so super duper excited and cant wait to finally be back here. My friends and I are going down for the Colts/Titans game on Sunday night. We are driving down on Saturday, partying like rock stars on Broadway Saturday night, sightseeing and stuff Sunday afternoon, and then going to the game Sunday night. Its going to be a rocking good time!

Cause we say Thank the Lord that New England didnt go 1-2 after this week? Yes we can!! They pulled out a win over Atlanta! YAY! From the highlights I saw of this game since it wasnt aired around here, my boy Mr Brady still doesnt look like his old self. I guess thats to be expected after coming back from the injury he suffered last season. They pulled off a 26-10 win and thats what counts!

Who would have thought going into Week 2 against the Jets that New England would look like they just starting playing football. Stupid Stupid game! They lost 16-9 against them. Ridiculous! Seriously! I am going to have a real hard time picking them to win against Atlanta in week 3. Atlanta has been tough the past 2 weeks so it will be hard to pick New England. Hopefully they get their heads out of their asses!

Everyone ready for week 2 of the 2009 season? Today the Patriots play the Jets. Probably be a tough little game for them. Maybe Brady will look more like his old self today. I think he will need to in order to win. And what little defense we have left will have to be on their game. 2 1/2 hours till kick off for Sunday football. I dont move much from the TV on Sundays. Watch it all day long. :)

After 53 Weeks....

the man is back! And that man is Tom Brady! This was a nail biting game to the end. And then Tom Brady and the Patriots did what we all know they can do. Pull a win out of their back pockets. And thats just want they did at the end of the 4th. It took awhile for Brady to be comfortable out there but we finally saw the Brady we know. It was great to see him play again. And win against the Buffalo Bills. Go Patriots!! Week one of the 2009 season is in the books.

Tonight is the Patriots first regular season game and Tom Brady's first regular season game since last year when he got hurt during the first regular season game. And here is my card. I used both SU and PTI for this card. The ink and stamps are from PTI and all the paper is from SU. I dont think you can really tell but I used the Heidi Swapp paper distresser for the edges of the green cardstock and also the cream cardstock that the sentiment is on.

Happy Mothers Day to all of you wonderful mothers out there in blogger land. :) I hope everyone has a fantastic day!! I made this card in several different colors for all the wonderful ladies I wanted to send a card too. Well not really send. I handed them to them. :) I used all PTI products on this one and on the other ones. I used the stamp sets "Mother" and "Life" from PTI. The only card I didnt make this year was for my mom. I found a neat little singing card that I think she will enjoy. And I paid $5 for it. Cards are expensive these days!!

Welcome to Template Tuesday. Today I am just showing everyone the sketch that we were supposed to play with this week. It was done by Kimmi who is no longer doing the TT but she had already provided this sketch so we are using it.

This past weekend I had to have all my sewer pipes replaced. The sewer lines run through the ceiling of my scrapbook room which means right now my scrapbook room is in shambles. I had to move everything to one side of the room and I havent been able to get back down there to put it back together. So hopefully I get that done this week.

So last week I was sitting around at work and decided to figure out what I spend a week on cigarettes. Since the prices were raised I have thought a little bit about it but not a whole lot. Well at $5.57 a pack and a pack a day that equals just over $38 a week and over $2000 a year on these dang things! Can you say CRAZY!!!????!!!! Its insane! Do you know what I could do with that money????????? So I decided this morning that when I am done with this pack of cigarettes that I am DONE! I am done killing myself with them and done spending money on them. Maybe I will take that money and save it for a trip to Cancun or something. :) Sounds good to me! So wish me luck and yell and scream at me if you hear that I smoked another one after today! :)

Can you tell that I LOVE this set from PTI? I swear its about the only set I have used since I got it last month! I just love it. I made this card to send to my friend Shannon. Who doesnt like happy mail? Sometimes is just fun to open your mailbox and have something besides mail! I also love this pattern paper from SU. I dont remember what its called but I love it! Love the pinks/greens together. And I think PTI's Ripe Avocado and Raspberry Fizz go along perfect with it.

I think I have posted before about my cat. He loves to find any box in the house and sleep in it!! I dont know why he likes to ball up like this and sleep but he does. Today he found my box that my Patriots shoes came in. He crawled right in and promptly fell asleep. Silly kitty!!

Angie and Haley Party Time

Last night my friend Haley and I went out and had us a great time! We started the evening at her house watching the Biggest Loser from Tuesday night. Although I knew what happened I hadnt seen it so I wanted to watch it. After that we went to Carlos O Kellys for dinner. I have a real hard time choosing food here but I was able to find something.

Do you think I can ever remember to take a picture of the food BEFORE we eat it? Heck no! My plate had already been taken away but above you find the remains for our chips/salsa and Haley's plate. She said we were going to sit there long enough for her to get hungry again so she could finish her food but I dont think she ever finished it. It was yumminess!

In the above picture you find Haley taking a picture of the remains of the food also. :) She has to blog too ya know. :)

After we ate dinner and sat at our table for long enough we decided to move up to the bar and have a drink. And thats where this picture was taken. After we left we went back to my house and I changed clothes. I got into a pair of jeans that 3 weeks ago didnt button. :) YAY for me! Then we went to Strazlos in Ossian and finally then to The Thirsty Camel in Fort Wayne. We had a blast! There are more pics from this great night that I will share in another post. I gotta get Haley's permission first for one of them. :)

Welcome to Template Tuesday on this fine Tuesday morning. Of course its wintery cold out so its not really fine. :) I thought spring was here. We had alot of warm nice days. But the last few days have been cold and we have had snow! YUCK! Spring needs to get here and stay!! Today's sketch is brought to us by Ami. New Gym Shoes!!!!!!!

How stinking cute are these shoes????? Ami was in Florida last week and she called or actually texted me then I called her back cause she said they had Patriot gym shoes at the Reebok outlet store. I have looked around here for these but living in Colts country, its not easy to find Patriot apparel. She sent me a picture of them while she was there and I went and picked them up yesterday morning and absolutely fell in LOVE with them!!! They are the cutest shoes. Well at least to me. :) Check them out below. :)

On the side of the shoe you find the Patriots emblem. SO cute!

On the front of the shoe you find the word "Patriots". On the tongue the NFL logo. Then while out at my mom's yesterday I noticed that on the back of the shoe it has "AFC East" which is their division. The NFL logo is also on the bottom of the shoe. I just love them! Thanks Ami for picking them up for me!!

Cheryl's Paper Bag Scrapbook

I posted last week about a lady at my local gas station getting her own store and the going away party that we had for her. With the pictures we took that night I made her a little paper bag album so she could have something to remember the night by. Its a very simple little book using 3 paper bags, SU designer paper and cardstock, PTI's Life stamp set, and PTI's raspberry fizz and ripe avocado ink.

This is the front cover of the album. I used PTI's Life stamp set.

First couple of pages showing what a great time it was on the dance floor. Super fun times!

The lady on the left we didnt know but she decided to crash our party and dance with us. :)

The funny part about the picture on the right is that Alicia really doesnt like the lady she is picking out music with so we had to include this pic in the album as a little funny.

Why does a sister mean to you?

Maybe this isnt the right place for this entry because its a crafting blog but ya know, sometimes personal stuff just creeps its ugly its ugly head into my blog. Do anyone of you out there have sisters? Well I have 3 of them. Before today I would have said that these girls would bend over backwards to be there for me. I loved them, trusted them with everything, all that good mushy stuff that goes along with being a sister. I can still say that about 2 of my sisters. The other one can just never show her face around me again. I dont care if I ever see her or talk to her again. Hey Becky, remember back when you were going through all that stuff with your divorce and all your bazillion and one suicide attempts? Who was always around? Who left work to come to the hospital to make sure you were OK? Who visited you in rehab? Oh yeah that would be your SISTERS! And how do you thank us for that? Or at least 2 of us? Oh yeah, you go and sleep with our men! NICE! You cant find your own guy? What was the purpose of going after ours? What did you accompolish? Did you think we would never find out? Were you laughing at us everytime we were all together? Did it make you feel good that you got away with it? Well guess what, you didnt get away with it. We know. And unlike Christine who hasnt told anyone, I have told everyone. There wont be anymore "whoa is me Becky" with me. Everything that has happened to you, you have done to yourself. And dont go blaming this on some medical issue with yourself. Thats crap! And to top it off, you have lied to my face about it. Remember me asking you if you have ever done anything? Why you would always come to my house when I wasnt home? And you would say "I would never do that." LIAR! You did do it and not only to me but to Christine too. More than any of us, Christine has always been there for you no matter what. You two have always been close, just like Tonya and me. And you screwed her. Nice job Bec! Have a good life without me!

Sometimes a cold can knock you on your butt and the one I am getting over definitely did that. Rarely, if ever, do I take a day off from work due to a cold. Friday night we had a going away party for one of the managers at the gas station that is by my house. She finally got her own store and her last day is today. :( We are all gonna miss her alot! We had SO much fun hanging out and partying on Friday night with her. Pictured here in the back row is Lisa, Cheryl and Alicia. And then in the front is me and Ladaune. There were lots of laughs and dancing going on. It was a great time! We sure are gonna miss that lady!

Good morning everyone. I have a little of my stamping mojo back so I sat down last night and made this card. I got the idea from one of my many magazines. I changed it a little with the ribbon but for the most past its the same.

I used PTI's True Black and Raspberry Fizz paper and Raspberry Fizz ribbon. Also some misc silver brads that I had laying around. The stamps are from both SU and PTI.

Hi everyone! I know its supposed to be Template Tuesday today but I am going to disappoint you. :) I have been so busy between work and home that I havent even been down to my stamp room since Friday. I know bad me! I did try and go down last night to make my template tuesday card and the mojo just wasnt there! So I dont have a card today and I might just take the rest of the week off from blogging. Hopefully this weekend I can get my mojo back and be able to share next week!

On a positive note, my daughter made the spring basketball league so we will get to do more basketball until the end of April. Also sometime in the next 2 weeks conditioning starts for her high school soccer. My schedule is gonna be nutso!

Oh my! Is anyone else glad that its Friday?! I sure am! Its been such a busy week at work! I almost feel sorry for my co workers today because I woke up grumpy! :) I hope that goes away. :)

So I dont know if I am happy with how this card came out. It was very quick and easy to put together but the final card just looks a little plain to me for some reason. Maybe because I didnt add any embellishments to it. And normally I dont make a card with ribbon, a flower, something!

I used PTI colors Raspberry Fizz and Dark Chocolate. The stamp I used is from a set from SU. I think its a retired hostess set but I dont have a clue what the name of the set is.

This is a short and sweet post because I am super tired and like I said at the beginning I am grumpy. :) I just dont have alot to say with the grumpiness takes over. :)

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!! Only a couple more days left of the work week!!

I want to send a shout out to the varsity boys basketball team at Heritage. They won their first sectional game last night against Angola. It was a nail biter till the end. We were down 1 with 4.3 seconds left. We shot, missed, and one of our guys tipped the ball back up and it went in to win the game! Very exciting finish! So congrats Heritage!

I made this card using the new Melon Berry paper and also the Spring Moss paper from PTI. Also used the Handwritten Notes stamp set. Just a quick and simple card. The flowers are from Bazzil and prima. The button is the new melon berry buttons from PTI and I used 2 little scraps of melon berry paper for the "thread" of the button. I have seen my friend Melinda do that a couple times and I keep meaning to do it! Perfect way to have a matching thread to your button!

The BEST coaches in the world!

Last night we had my daughter Chantelle's basketball banquet. It was a bitter sweet evening because this is her last year with these 2 coaches. These 2 ladies have been apart of her life for many years as one of them was her 5th grade teacher. I love these ladies! By far Chantelle's BEST coaches she has had since she has been playing organized sports. That isnt a whole lot but still. :) They are supportive, caring, thoughtful, encouraging, tough when they need to be, knowledgeable, and they love these girls. You can tell that by the way they coach and the heart that they put into it. For those that dont have kids or your kids have never played sports, or you yourself have never played sports, you really cant understand the impact that a great coach can have on your childs life. If you were to watch these coaches during a game you would understand everything that I am saying about them. I will always remember during the first game of the ACAC tournament this year when we were playing the Bluffton Tigers. It was a GREAT game and a very close game. Towards the end we were still trailing and I believe it was the moment that we took the lead or took a 3 or 4 point lead and Coach Fuelling was on her knees and smacking the floor. Honestly I thought she was going to kiss it. :) And when they won that game the excitment and joy on the coaches faces along with the girls was just the best. Chantelle has grown so much and learned so much the last 2 years from these ladies that I cant even express my gratitude enough. I made the picture frame below for each of the coaches and gave them to them tonight. I hope that I was able to express my thanks enough to them and they know how much they are appreciated by me and Chantelle. I will miss them alot but I know that if Chantelle ever needs anything all she has to do is call on these ladies and they will do whatever they can to help her. So thank you Coach Keane and Coach Fuelling for being the ladies and coaches that you are.

And pictured below are the coaches. Coach Keane is to the left of Chantelle in the red jacket and Coach Fuelling is on the right in the brown. If you cant tell, they are twins. :) And also pictured is the assistant coach. Please forgive me that I can never remember her name!! I am sorry!

OK, so this post turned into a very long one, lol! Sorry about that. But I wanted to really say how much these ladies mean to us. Words just cant do it!! Thank you again coaches!

Good morning everyone!! Its Monday and time to go back to work!! What fun that will be! Hopefully its better than the last few days of last week! But its probably going to be super busy because the other guy that orders product there is gone this week which leaves me to do it. So for those that I email on a regular basis while I am supposed to be working, the emails may be few and far between. Sorry. :) I am sure you will miss me.

On to the card, I think this card came out fun!! I love these colors together. I pulled out the paper I got with my last SU order, my Handwritten Notes set, some flowers, rhinestones, and ink and this is what came out. Simple and fun! Love that combo. :)

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!! I thought I would get my blogging done early this morning because there is lots to do today. Laundry, dishes, the gym, getting my son a new SIM card for his phone, getting some cards done and lots else! Sounds like a fun day doesnt it?

I put this card together last night when I was done with my evening. I used PTI's new stamp set Handwritten Notes. I have been using that set alot lately! Love all the sentiments in it. There are 28 of them all for only $24. The pattern paper is from the gridlines pattern pack. I wanted to use a cardstock with a white core so I could distress it so I used some cardstock from DCWV. The chipboard is from Basic Grey. The hardware I got from a set from TAC. There is a ton of different hardware in it.

Hi all. I hope that everyone is enjoying their Saturday!

I made this card using all PTI stuff. Does that shock anyone? I seem to always gravitate towards my PTI stuff over all the other things in my stamp room. Maybe its because this stuff is always front and center. Or maybe because its by far my favorite company!! I love their Perfect Match product line. I love it when the paper, ink, ribbon, embellishments all match each other.

On this card I used spring rain cardstock, ink and ribbon. The pattern pattern is from the Bitty Dots collection and the colors are Lemon Tart and hmmmm the name of the light pink has slipped my mind. Whats wrong with me? Well anyone, if you know PTI, you know what color I am referring too. The stamp set is Handwritten Notes. By far my favorite sentiment set to date!

Its a day of mourning today. My hottie Tom brady got married last night. :( Yeah I know, cause I had a chance with him, right? :) But I must wear black today. :) I heard it on the radio this morning that him and Gisele tied the knot last night.

Hi everyone! Its the gateway to the weekend!! YAY! One more day till the weekend. :)

I wanted to make a card just using a sentiment. I have seen these done but have never really done one myself. I really like how this one came out. I used all PTI products except the flower and rhinestone. I used true black cardstock, raspberry fizz pattern paper and ink, polka dot basic stamp set and the new handwritten notes stamp set. I really, really like that set. I think this is a bright and cheery card that anyone would love to get!!

Good morning everyone!! Happy Hump Day!

My sister Tonya called me onMonday night and asked if I had any sympathy cards made up. Do you think out of all the cards I have laying around that I would have a sympathy card? NO! So Tuesday morning before I work I made this card for her. She needed one for a casual friend that had recently lost her husband. Both are very young and have 3 children so I am sure the friend of hers is going through a very rough time! I hope this eases her pain just a little bit.

Weight Loss Week 6

Well this is my 6th weigh in and I lost 2lbs. Obviously I always want it to be more but 2lbs a week is a good way to lose it. I started my second week at the gym this morning and it was much easier to get up today then it was last Monday on my first day!! I just need to stick with it! I have also started taking some vitamins to try and help my metabolism out. We will see if it helps!

Today is a short post, no card to share. Just my weight loss. I will be back tomorrow for Template Tuesday. Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Happy Sunday!! Last day of the weekend! Blah!

The card I made today is for the Card Positioning System card sketch challenge. You can win a great prize from PTI!! That will make anyone want to enter a card!! And I dont even know what they prize is. But anything from PTI is great! I used the new Melon Berry and New Leaf colors from PTI. PTI's new buttons are just great! And you get a ton of buttons for $5! I used PTI's stamp sets Little Lady and Handwritten Notes. I love the Handwritten Notes sets. The sentiments are great and they were all written in the design team and Nicholes actual handwritting. Definitely a must have stamp set! I think there are 28 sentiments in it all for $24! What a deal!

Well I am off to finish some housework. The gym doesnt open till 12 today so I can get my housework done before going to the gym! Have a great day everyone!

Happy Saturday! My friend Julie and I joined a gym last weekend and this was our first week working out there. I really wasnt sure that she would make it through the week so I made her this card to tell her "congrats" on making it through the first week. The first time is always the toughest! I used my new PTI Melon Berry paper, ribbon, buttons and some bitty dots pattern paper. I also used my new Aerobic Riley stamp from Hanna Stamps! Love that little Riley! I think Julie will like this card. I will give it to her on Monday when I pick her up bright and early at 4:15. Speaking of 4:15am, do you think this morning I could have slept past 4:15 since I didnt "have" to get up? Heck no!! I was wide awake! Luckily I was able to fall back asleep and work up at 6:15 and then I got up and went to the gym.

Friendship Card

Good morning everyone! Boy am I wiped out this morning! This is my first week of getting up at 4:15am to go to the gym before work. I had been working out after work but decided to join the gym with a friend and go before work. And today I am TIRED! I am so glad tomorrow is Saturday so that I can sleep in! The gym isnt open till 7am on Saturdays so I get to sleep in for a few hours! YAY!

I made this card using all SU stuff except the ribbon and the flower. They are just misc stuff I had in my stash. I really love this stamp set!! And the new colors of cardstock and pattern paper I got are really fun to play with!

So I have been making all these cards for my blog lately and I have collected quite a few of them. I havent been making them for any particular reason other than to post here. So what do you do with all your extra cards. I am thinking about taking them to work and setting them out for the ladies to look through and purchase. Someone is always looking for a card for one reason or another and it seems like I have a nice variety in the container. Anywhere from baby to sympathy and just because type cards.

New PTI Goodies

So on Tuesday I got a big box of new goodies from PTI! I havent been able to order from them in quite awhile so I played catch up. It was a very good time! I made this card using 2 of the new colors I got. Raspberry Fizz and Dark Chocolate. The polka dot paper is from their new collection of bitty dots pattern paper. There are 45 8 x 8 sheets of paper in the pack for $10. What a great deal! The other pattern paper is part of the Raspberry Fizz collection. I love all my new goodies. The stamp set I used is from SU. I think its a retired hostess set.

And the picture below is of my cat. He loves to a good box to sleep in. Over the weekend he found the box my SU stuff came in and slept in that. I bought a set of new glasses the other night and yesterday afternoon I went to move this box and found him sleeping in it. :) Silly kitty!

Ribbon, Ribbon and More Ribbon

So who out there in blogging land has an abundance of ribbon? I know I do. I seem to use it on most of my cards and scrapbook pages. Its just a nice embellishment for anything you are creating. Below are 2 pictures of how I have my PTI ribbon stored. The first container is full and I have started on my second. Its really a nice way to store it. I can see what I have and what I want to use at a glance.

OK, and here is my HUGE problem!! This is some more of my ribbon that I havent a clue how to store. I bought the dollar store out of the wooden clothes pins but have never taken the time to wrap them. Maybe I should. Maybe I shouldnt. I just dont know. All these ribbon is just sitting in a big pile. Some in containers, most sitting outside of containers. Then I have another priority mail box full of more ribbon. I just dont know what to do with it all!! Any suggestions?

Oh and BTW, I made sure I got some of my Patriots stuff in the picture. :) All the walls of my craft room are full of Patriots stuff. I'm a buff I tell ya!

Weight Loss Week 5?

OK I think this is week 5 weigh in. I am sure Haley will correct me if its only week 4. But I am pretty sure its week 5. I am down 2lbs for a total of 15. YAY! Yesterday a friend of mine and I joined a local gym and this morning was our first morning there. I woke up bright and early and we were at the gym at 5am. We worked out for an hour and it felt good. I love working out in the mornings but the last 5 weeks I have not been able to drag my butt out of bed. Having to pick her up and go somewhere was motivation enough to get up! I have all the equipment I need at home to work out but I like going to the gym. I will also do my work out DVD's in the evenings for a double whammy. :)

I know I promised something crafty today but I didnt get anything made yesterday. But tomorrow is Template Tuesday so you know there will be crafty stuff tomorrow. :)

My New Bed

Good morning. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I am a little tired this morning after staying up to order all the new stuff at midnight from PTI. :) But after ordering I got to climb into my brand new bed. Its been about 12 years since I have had a new bed so I deserved one! I got a good deal on the head and foot board too. Its HUGE! The empty stand next to it is also new and I havent put anything in it yet. I also have to take out my elliptical and treadmill and put it down in my scrapbook room. The new bed just takes up too much room. Thats my treadmill over there covered up by my Patriots blanket. :) And yes thats a Patriots pillow on my bed. :) If i was 16 again I would have my Tom Brady poster on my bedroom wall. :) But I put all those in my scrapbook room instead. I will be back later or tomorrow with something crafty to share. I just wanted to share my new bed this morning.

A Little Saturday Night Fun

So I saw over on Melinda's blog a neat little thing that you can do over on google. She saw it on the Paper Pleasing blog. So I thought since I am sitting here waiting on the PTI release party that I would do it.

What you do is go to google and type in "Angie Needs" but in your case put your first name. Leave the quotations in place. Then come back to your blog and list the first ten things it says. Below are what it says I need.

1. Angie needs an agent. An agent? For what? That an undercover agent? Hmm, interesting.
2. Angie needs food. no I dont. Really, I just ate dinner like 3 hours ago. I could go for a beer though.
3. Angie needs some self esteem and self love. Now this I buy. Always had problems with self esteem.
4. Angie needs to triple it. To triple what? Confusing!
5. Angie needs a nap. Nope, again just had one earlier today so I could stay up for the release party.
6. Angie needs a night of blinding sex. WHAT???!!! Really, it did say that on google. LOL!
7. Angie needs guidance. LOL, thats all I have to say.
8. Angie needs to become an actress. No I dont. I am good with the job I have. Of course I would make more money.
9. Angie needs sleep. Apparently google really wants me to take a nap.
10. Angie needs to let her fear go. My fear of what? I would tend to believe this. If I could let my fear of some things go maybe I could get rid of my annoying OCD!!!!!

Nothing Is Worth More Card

Happy Saturday!!!!! I am so glad its the weekend!!! It was a long week at work with Friday being the worst day! There are so many that are affected by the economy and my work place was hit yet again by it on Friday. 2 employees with about 20 years of service got laid off and the rest of the hourly employees got their hours cut. Those that are left are greatful to still have their jobs and we all just have to pull together and stick it out! Things will turn around! We just have to hang on through the rough times!

I made this card using all PTI products again! I love these 2 colors alot. I got the sketch for the card in another one of my many magazines! I love to follow sketches!!!!

Well I am off to get my hair done today and do a little more shopping that needs done. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Bitty Blessings Card

YAY its Friday baby!! Who does not love Fridays! Last day of work for the week! Of course I cant really complain about my job at all. I work with the best people and have the greatest boss you could ever ask for! Unlike my friend Haley. She has a douche for a boss! And see she cant complain about him on her blog because she lives in a small town and the more people that read her blog, the better the chance of word getting back to him that he is a douche. So, that is where I come into the picture. She doesnt know it but I am going to vent for her and tell the blogging world that her boss is a big butt!! He needs to get a life and leave her alone! He doesnt want me to show up and punch him! Cause I will. And also, if anyone knows of good jobs that arent inthis silly state of ours let me know. :) She prefers warm weather all year long. I prefer she move to Nashville so I can visit all the time. :)

Anyway, I made this card using everything from PTI. I just love that company so much! The only thing I used that was not PTI was the scallop border punch which is from SU. I paper pieced the little onesie. I think it came out super cute! I got the card idea from one of the zillion magazines I have laying around here. I used the sketch from that magazine.

All About Today Card

Ahhh Thursday!! The week is almost over! YAY!! I am looking forward to the weekend! I am buying a new bed! :) Its been MANY years since I have had a new bed and its long over due! :) Fun times!

I put together another quick and simple card for you today. Only stamping is the saying. Cardstock and pattern paper are both from PTI. Just cant get away from their stuff! :) And they have new fun and yummy colors coming out this weekend so make SURE you check them out on Sunday. They of course have new stamp sets coming out too.

Off to work I go again. Yesterday wasnt too bad without my co worker. The phones decided to be nice to me today so I got alot done. Of course it rained literally all day so I am sure I will get lots of calls today with leaking windows! :) Yuck!

No Stamping Card

Hi everyone. Its hump day! halfway through the work week! YAY!

I wanted to do a very quick and simple card so I decided to do one without any stamping. All supplies are from PTI. I just cut the pattern paper at different angles and adhered them to the base pattern paper. Then stuck the scalloped circle with the flower on and I was done. I didnt add any saying on it so it can be used for any type of note card. :)

The rest of the week is probably going to be pretty busy at work. My co worker is now gone until next week on Tuesday. I will enjoy the alone time in the department but one of the things I disliked about my job the most is answering the phones. Normally always rings when I am in the middle of something! Never fails. :)

Kind of a bright and cheery card with these colors. Not sure I am real happy with it. Just looks a little plain. There are no embellishments at all on it which is odd for me. I just used the same papers that I had out from the scrapbook layout I did yesterday.

Dancing Girl Layout

Blah, its Monday morning! Time to go back to work. It will be a hectic week after Tuesday because my co worker leaves on vacation for a few days. While its nice to be alone in the department, I hate answering all the phone calls, lol! :)

This is another layout for Meg's scrapbook. This picture looks like she had a little dancing attitude. :) I tried to take the colors out of her outfit for the page. Another pretty simple layout. I used Kraft cardstock from PTI for the base, pattern paper from Doodle Bug, misc ribbon, and some primsa flowers. I added some diamond stickles to the centers of the flowers. This has been the most I have scrapbooked in a LONG time! I am so far behind on my own albums! But the pictures keep coming in! I dont think I will ever be "caught up."
