Meeting Tony Dungy

So this past Wednesday the now former head coach of the Indianapolis Colts came to town to sign copies of his new book "Uncommon." I am sure by now everyone knows that I am NOT a Colts fan by any means but I really like Tony Dungy. He is just an all around good guy and a great football coach. I really enjoyed reading his first book called "Quiet Strength" so I picked up his new book as soon as it came out. I have only read a couple chapters but I am sure its a good book. I got to Wal-Mart at 4:15 and there were already people in line so I decided after a few phone calls with my son to wait in the line. Tony was not coming until 7!! What a long wait. My kids got dropped off about 6:45 and it was worth standing in line to make my son so happy meeting his favorite coach of his favorite football team. I wanted to wear my Patriots stuff but I didnt. :) I did have my Pats hat on for awhile but took it off. Tony Dungy was very nice to everyone going through the line. This picture is right before he starting signing and he was showing his Super Bowl ring to the crowd. I feel bad for all those that waited in line for a long time and werent able to get an autograph.
Hope everyone has a GREAT Saturday!

Baby DVD Tins

YAY its Friday!!!! Anyone else excited? I am!! Today I am sharing 2 DVD tin albums that I made for my co-workers daughters who had babies last year. Taylor is 5 months old and Nathan is about 3 or 4 months. I might be off a month on both of those. :) I used the scrapbook kit from SU called Rock A Bye Boy I believe. I bought a DVD tin kit from Julie at Paper Pleasing Ideas so the credit from this goes to her. I followed her instructions. I believe you can find the tutorial on SCS. These books are so the 2 moms can have a little book to record the first year of their boys lifes. Each page holds one picture from months 1 through 12. Both gals are coming to work today so we can meet the babies and I can give them their gifts. I hope they like them!!

The pictures show the outside front cover and then the first page.
Have a great day everyone!

PaperTreyInk Bag Challenge

Paper Trey Ink is celebrating their 2nd anniversary this year. They are having 14 days worth of sneak peaks and LOTS of prizes and fun! If you have never checked them out, NOW is the perfect time. You can find the link to their site over on the right. Today Nichole challenged everyone to make a bag. The winner of this challenge gets a SUPER fab prize! So I came home from work and got dinner and my household stuff out of the way so I could sit down and make a bag to enter. I made this one using a Valentine set that was released this year. Cant remember the name of it though, lol! Bad me. :) The red paper, ink, and ribbon is the Poppy Red Palette from PTI. The white cardstock is also from PTI. Everything on the bag is actually PTI except the bag itself. That came from Wal-Mart. Make sure you check out all that PTI has to offer right now. You will fall in love with them if you havent already. They are the sweetest people to deal with, fast shipping, the BEST packaging, great prices, great stamps, everything about them is GREAT!! So go check them out! And no I dont work for them. :) I just love them!

Baby Card

Do I have a reason to make a baby card? No I dont. :) But I found these 2 stamps that I had bought a long time ago at Archivers and thought I would make a card with them. Its a very simple card and came together quickly. I colored the elephant with my copics. The pattern paper is some paper out of a DCWV paper stack that I have. This will go in my card basket that I am taking to work to sell to my co workers. Maybe one of them as a new baby they need to welcome into the world.

Have a great day everyone!

Soccer Layout

My friend Kim asked me to put together a scrapbook for her daugher's open house this June. I have had these pictures with me for a long time and have not done anything with them. Since its already February and I know June will be here before I know it, I thought I better start working on it! This is her freshman year soccer picture. I am trying to do her school related pictures in her schools colors. Do you know how hard it is to do sports pictures like soccer in the colors? I wanted to use the soccer pattern paper I had but it had green all over it and wouldnt go with purple and gold. All the layouts will be fairly simple as I have alot of pictures and not a whole lot of time. :)
Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!
