You wouldnt believe it if I didnt have a picture...

Just a quick message to show everyone what happened at my work this morning. A woman, about 25, who doesnt work here decided to make our warehouse a drive thru. She drove straight thru and out the loading dock. It was really quite funny. The lady is OK but very embarrassed. She wouldnt come out of the parts department. We were all standing outside taking pictures. The fire department pulled up and couldnt contain their laughter. This is definitely one of those pictures that you see going around the internet about stupid drivers. And it just had to be a female, didnt it??!! She also had the nerve to say to us that we should have a sign that says "not an exit." The owner pulled up to his business to this site. It pulled his sunglasses down halfway and just stared and shook his head. :) Fun morning!!

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day everyone!! I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday. Let's all remember those who are currently serving, the veterans, and those who gave their life for our freedom!
I havent posted in awhile. I am so busy these days! And I forget to sit down and take the time to post. My friend kindly reminded me that I havent posted in awhile. So I am taking a break from cleaning and posting.
This is a card that I made for my niece's birthday. She turned 13 and she believes that she is a princess so this image was perfect for her. All images are from TAC. I also used my cuttlebug embossing birthday folder. I love those folders!
Again, I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day!!

Wanna go to the beach?

I am ready for the cooler temperatures to be gone for the year! Let's go to the beach! I made this card for a Bella swap that I am in. After I scanned the card I added a piece of brown polka dot ribbon to the turquiose ribbon. I started with a piece of SU cool carribean as the card base. I cut a 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of SU Chocolate Chip paper and scalloped the edge with my corner rounder. I stamped the background with an older stamp from CTMH. I colored in Beachabella with my water color pencils and blender pen. Layered it all together and stamped the "Enjoy Life's Moments" sentiment.
Last night I had soccer practice at my church and after that all the mom's played sand volleyball on our new courts that the church put in. I havent played volleyball since my high school days. It was alot of fun but man am I sore today! I havent hit the dirt like that in a long time. It was good to get out and play with the girls without the kids under my feet. The pastor was the babysitter and kept the kids entertained for a few hours. Hope everyone has a great day!

Digital Camera Advice

OK, its time for me to finally dive into the world of digital photography. I love my film SRL and will still use it but I also think I need a digital. Nothing fancy, just a good point and shoot will do me fine. I think the pictures that I see on blogs that are done with a camera are so much better than scans. So, I am making some extra money at work right now and I might has well spend it on something for me. Agreed?! :) So, what camera do you own? What's the best point and shoot out there?

Love the Bella's!

Good morning. The week is flying by! I cant believe its already Wednesday! Last night we had some strong storms roll through. The website for my second job was down all night and its a big part of the evening. Let's just say it was rather interesting without it. This is a card that I made for a Bella swap that I am in. All the cardstock is from DCWV except the brown which is chocolate chip from SU. I ran the light green through my sizzix with the doodles cuttlebug embossing folder. I edge the brown and pink strips with my edge distresser. I stamped Cakeabella on Whisper White cardstock and colored her in with watercolor pencils. I lightly sponged some pink around the edges. The faux stitching is done with my paper piercer and white gel pen. Then I tied the pink polka dot ribbon on last before attaching it all together. I will share the other card soon that I made for this swap. I love working with my Bellas.

Our Mother's Day Picture......

As alot of my friends know, I am usually behind the camera. On Mother's Day, I made an exception and let John take my picture with my kids. Chantelle is 12 and Austin is 8. One day soon, I will share a picture of Chantelle standing next to me and you wont believe that she is only 12. She stands 5'9! Yes, that's right, 5'9! I am only 5'8. She loves the fact that she is taller than me. Austin asks me every morning if he has grown. He wants to be tall like his sister and look down at mommy!

A little behind ...

Happy Tuesday! I think I am finally catching up from an extremely busy weekend! This is the Mother's Day card that I sent out to my mom and step mom. On Mother's Day we went to try and new resturant that my mother in law and sister in law had been raving about. It was a 45 minute drive and let me tell you, so not worth it! It was a buffet style resturant and the buffet tables looked as if they hadnt been cleaned all day. It was really gross! But my MIL loved it so I kept my mouth shut until we were on our way home. And the important part was that we spent the day with family, not that the resturant wasnt very good. My kids for me an Ipod Shuffle. Of course I had to drop hints as to what to get me. My son also made me a card at school and on it he wrote that I am a great mom because I am a Rockstar. Gotta love that! For the card, I started with a light teal for the card base. I then ran the light green cardstock through my sizzix, using my cuttlebug embossing folder. I distressed the edges of the brown and teal paper and used my SU paper piercing guide to poke the holes in the corners. I used my Marvy scalloped punches for the circles. Obviously. :) I then stamped and water colored the flower image. It says "Happy Mothers Day" on the inside. I hope you all had a fantastic Mother's Day. Now to start thinking about what to get my husband for Father's Day. I have the fixafella from StampingBella on its way for his card.

Happy Friday Morning!

Good morning! Today started out VERY early! I had to get my husband and daughter up at 5am so they could meet her 6th grade class for the annual trip to Chicago. Neither one of them is used to being up that early but they both hopped right out of bed and were anxious to get going. Then I laid back down for about an hour until it was time to get my son up. We enjoyed our morning alone and then off to school we went. They had Muffins with Mom this morning. We all sat in the gym and ate muffins and drank some orange juice. I usually dont get to do this because I have to be at work but I decided to be a few minutes late because its something Austin really wanted to do.
I made this card at a Stampin Up class that I went to recently. All products are SU unless otherwise noted. Forgive me because I dont know the names of the sets that we used. We started it off by stamping the background on the lighter purple card base. We then stamp the flower, leaves, and love sentiment on the shimmer white paper. We color everything in with the metallic pencils. I had never used those before and really enjoyed them. We punched holes at the bottom and tied our ribbon on. Then layered that on the darker purple cardstock. I really like how the card turned out.

This is my very first blog entry so its going to just be short and sweet. I made this card use Cosmobella from www.stampingbella.com They are my new favorite stamps right now. The card design came from the very talented Beate Johns. I just love her work! I am pretty busy at work today so I cant say too much more right now. I will back soon for a more information. :) Have a great day everyone!
