Love in the Air

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!! Valentines Day is just around the corner so I thought I would throw another Love card together. This stamp set I believe is a retired SU hostess set but I am not completely sure. I am sure though thats its SU! :)

Supplies:
Stamps: SU
Paper: PTI and Bo Bunny Press
Brads: Making Memories
Ribbon: PTI
Ink: Poppy Red Palette from PTI

The tournament games are today for my daughter. They were postponed all week because of weather. We are off to Southern Wells here in a little bit. The 7th grade game should be starting right about now. Hopefully they win! And then hopefully we win our game so we can both play in the championship game this afternoon! Wish us luck.

Sympathy Card

Happy Friday everyone! The kids are out of school again! I couldnt see anything that happened overnight when I looked outside but the news says that the county roads arent good with the blowing and drifting. My daughters basketball game was once again cancelled last night due to other schools being closed. Now we will finish all tournament games tomorrow. Just how I wanted to spend my Saturday!! Yuck! But oh well. You never know, with most of the schools closed today that we are part of the tournament, it could all be put off to next week. Who knows!

I didnt have a reason to make a sympathy card but thats what this card ended up being. I am filling a container up with cards that I plan on taking to work to set out for the ladies if they want to purchase them. So this will go in that container.

Supplies: PTI and DCWV cardstock, TAC stamps, PTI riboon, Palette Ink (i think I used French Iris?)

Hope everyone has a great day!!

A little note card

Hi everyone. Ever need a little card just to jot a quick note to a friend? Well I think this card is perfect one to send. It doesnt have any sentiments on it so you can use it for any occassion. A pretty simple card that went together quickly. Gotta love that!
Supplies: PTI and SU Cardstock, TAC stamps, SU True Thyme ink (i think thats what its called) , Basic Grey pattern paper
Yesterday was a snow day for the kids so the basketball game was postponed to tonight. So keep your fingers crossed that they win and I will update you tomorrow on it.
Have a great day everyone!

Valentines Card

Hi everyone! Its hump day! Halfway through the week.
I thought I would make some quick and simple Valentines up. Thats the next holiday coming up. Although mainly just a Hallmark holiday. :) I used an older SU set. I dont even remember what its called. But all I did was stamp it on white cardstock, added the sentiment from PTI, and mounted it on the Bo Bunny pattern paper and PTI cardstock. Took about 5 minutes to make. :) Love those simple cards!
Tonight my daughter has her 2nd tournament game. We are playing a team that will be tough but I think the girls have it in them to win!! Keep your fingers crossed! I will update you tomorrow.

My daughters basketball team....

I am sure most of you are thinking "Oh no, another patriots football post" but no its not that this time!! :) My daughters Jr/Sr high school is also the Patriots. :) And they use the same symbol so this has 2 purposes. This time its about my daughters basketball team. On Monday night, they played their first ACAC tournament game. They played the Jr high from Bluffton. The last time we played these girls both the 7th and 8th grade teams litterally walked all over them. So I dont want to say the girls went into this game overly confidant but they did think they could beat them. I got there in the middle of the 7th grade game and it was pretty much a repeat of the first time. They walked all over Bluffton. :) YAY for them. When the 8th grade game started we knew right away that this team had worked their tales off and were very good. It was going to be a very tough game for our girls. The game was tied through half time. We would score and they would answer right away and score. In the 3rd, they took a 5 point lead and normally our girls give up at this point so I was concerned. We stayed about 5 points down until a minute and 41 seconds left of them game and then completely rallied back. We took back the lead by a point with a minute left and from there we just had to play safe and play tough defense. We got fouled and went to the line with about 5 seconds left in the game and made both shots. I literally thought the coach was going to kiss the floor. She was on her hands and knees! The whole crowd was on their feet. And with just a few seconds left obviously Bluffton couldnt take back the lead or even tie it. So we won 37-34. It had to be the most exciting game they have played all season and the BEST game I have seen out of those girls. So now its onto Wednesday night and the 2nd tournament game. I am thinking we will be playing a team that is super tough and killed us during regular season so we are hoping for the best.

Ooops, didnt mean for this post to turn into a book. :) I am just VERY proud of my daughter and her team! They played awesome!! My hands and throat are still recovering. :)

Week One Weigh In and a card to share

So today is my week one weigh in. I am SUPER happy with the results. I started this last Monday and worked hard all week to achieve results today. I exercised every day like I wanted too and ate the right things all week. I did have a "cheat" day Saturday. I believe in those even those others may not. If I deprive myself of the "bad" things I love, I will eventually blow the whole thing. So I allowed myself to eat what I wanted on Saturday. I probably went a little overboard and probably wont do that again. I think I will just allow myself a "cheat" meal on Saturday evening. No reason I need to cheat every meal on that day. I hope my friend Haley has a sucessful weigh in today also!

OK, on to the card. I made this card awhile ago but for whatever reason every time I tried to load it, the computer thought I already had. It finally let me load it yesterday. I loved this coat image as soon as I saw it and just had to have it! I colored it in with my copic markers and added fun flock to the fur trim on the coat. I think the coat is "totally bitchin" so they saying went along with it.

Supplies: PTI cardstock, Basic Grey pattern paper, Copic markers, image from Rubbernecker, saying stamp from My Favorite Things, PTI Ink

Marriage Advice from Burt Reynolds

While browsing the Rubbernecker website I came across this sentiment stamp and just thought it was funny so I had to get it. I then purchased the dryer to go along with the sentiment. I think in most cases its kind of a true statement. You just dont see too many men standing in from the washer/dryer doing their laundry. Unless of course they are single. I do believe that once while I was at Ami's I saw her husband Jason dong laundry so there is hope out there! :)
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Last night after we went to dinner, my friend and I went back to her house and watched Tuesdays episode of The Biggest Loser. Is anyone watching this season? If you are, do you like or dislike Joelle? I just cant stand that woman!!! I really wish her partner Carla was the one that stayed on the ranch! Joelle has no motivation whatsoever and I really dont think she wants to be there. In that episode when they went home to Detriot, Carla said she was done to 335lbs from 379! That is 44lbs and Joelle has lost a whopping like 21 lbs. I just dont like tha gal. :)
Supplies used: DCWV cardstock, Pallette Noir and Charcoal ink, prima flowers, misc brads, and stamps from Rubbernecker.

Sprinklin a little luv

Hi everyone! I am a little last in posting on this fine Saturday! :) I have been busy cleaning the house! Yuck! I hate housework!

I received this image and the sentiment from a gal on a yahoo group I am a part of. Its a mystery image that you receive and you are to make a card using that image. This is what I came up with. I dont remember where she said the image was from. I colored it in with my copics and added some glitter to the antennas and dotted some throughout the hearts. I think it came out pretty cute. :)

Well I am back to the housework! Have a great day!!

Happy Birthday Jason

Happy Friday everyone! And also a big Happy Birthday to Ami's husband Jason. I had to make Jason a special card. I am so glad I was able to find a stamp set that had a boat in it. Although its not a big speed boat, a fishing boat will have to do. A lady that Jason and Ami know has a forty foot boat that she has been trying to get someone to take off her hands for a long time. Jason is positive that this boat should be sitting in my driveway. So normally whenever I see him, sometime in the conversation the boat comes up. So I knew his birthday card had to have some sort of boat on it. :) I hope he likes it!

Ami dont show it to him if you see this before he gets his card. :)

The stamps are from TAC. The cardstock and ink are from SU.

Have a great day everyone!

Hope this day....

Good morning everyone! Its been a busy week around here. I dont know how I have managed to get down to my stamp room and make something every evening but I have been able to squeeze in a little bit every night.

This image is from Great Impressions. I colored it in with my copics. The card base is from Paper Trey and the lighter purple is from Bazzil. The sentiment is also from Paper Trey. I used my new punch from SU to scallop the bottom of the pattern paper which is from DWCV.

Hope everyone has a great day!

A Notebook for Haley

Hi everyone! How is everyones week going so far?
My friend Haley and I have started our new lifestyle changes this week. We both have weight loss goals that we want to meet by the time we go to Nashville in June. We both are counting our calories so we needed cute little notebooks to track our calories. Who wants a boring notebook? I sure dont! So this is the one I made for Haley. Mine will look exactly like it but I didnt feel like making mine last night when I put this one together. :)
I think I might start blogging about this little journey I am on. Maybe on Mondays since that is the day that I weigh in. We will see.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Hoping for a Sunny Day!

Blech! Its Monday again and time to go back to work. Weekends always go so fast! I am glad its a little warmer today than it was on Friday when I went to work. We work up to temps down at -14 degrees! COLD!
So today I am hoping the sun will shine a little. I made this card over the weekend. I made it bright sunny yellows and a little bee stamp from Autumn Leaves. I used my watercolor pencils and blender pen to color the bee in. I also added some crystal stickles to his wings and antennas so add a little bling to him. I am not sure where the sentiment stamp came from. But this bee looks like he is enjoying life for now.
I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

OK, one more little tiny football post.

OK, just one more little bitty tiny football post. As everyone knows the patriots didnt even make it to the playoffs. So they had no chance at the Super Bowl. Well when that happens you snag onto another team to root for. So my next 2 picks were San Diego and then Arizona. Why those 2? Well because San Diego knocked Indy out of the playoffs. Whoever does that is instantly my new favorite team. And then Arizona because, well, sad to admit but its because this man is so gorgeous! LOL! Just like a woman! And Arizona hasnt gone this far in 61 years! They are headed to the Tampa and the Super Bowl! So I will be rooting for these guys no matter who makes it from the AFC. I prefer to stick with the AFC but hello, can we say hottie! :) And who wants to root for Pittsburgh or Baltimore from the AFC. So, in 2 weeks, this is the team I want to win it all! :) So yeah there might be ONE more post for the big game. :)

Thank You For Your Friendship

Happy Sunday everyone! :) I decided to pull out Upsy Daisy again to make another card. I really like this stamp set. I stamped the main image on glosssy cardstock with Starry Night Palette ink. The ink smeared a little so I had to use a sponge and sponge on some ink over the whole thing to hide my oopsie. :) The cardstock is from DCWV and the pattern paper is I believe Chatterbox.
This afternoon is the final 2 playoff games. :) YAY! Since my team didnt even make the playoffs, I have decided I want Baltimore and Arizona in the Super Bowl. And since I have picked those 2, knowing my luck, it will end up being Pittsburgh and Philly. But we shall see this afternoon and tonight. :)
Have a good day everyone!!

Birthday Celebration

Hi everyone. Its Saturday morning and I am busy doing laundry and other housework. Thought I would take a break and share a card I made last week.
The image is from Great Impressions and I colored it in with my copics. Big surprise huh?! The sentiment is from the SU set Upsy Daisy. Pattern paper is from the Lily Anna collection from TAC. I dont know why I havent pulled that out much in the past. I really like it. A couple of rhinestones finish this card off. I think it came out cute!
Hope everyone has a great day! My son wants me to take him to some racing mudbog thing today. I am trying to talk him out of that. Doesnt sound like any fun at all to me! And its still FREEZING out! :)

What Is Your Secret?

Morning everyone. YAY its Friday!! 7 hours of work to go before the weekend! Cant wait! Even though I am spending my Saturday cleaning! Yuck!
The stamps I used in this card are from Great Impressions. This is actually 2 stamps. The flowered curtain is one stamp and the chair with the table and mirror is another one. I colored them in with my copic markers. The paper is from Paper Trey Ink. This is what the front looks like.

And this is what I stamped on the inside. I think it makes a great birthday card!
Have a great day!

You're On My Mind!

Is it morning already? :) The fastest time of the day is when I am sleeping. I never seem to get enough of it! Of course if I wouldnt stay up so late watching American Idol and Two and a Half Men maybe I wouldnt be so tired in mornings!
I finally broke down and ordered the stamp set Upsy Daisy from SU and also the scalloped punch. I have been wanting both for awhile. The UPS man brought me my new toys yesterday and I had to sit right down and play. OK, it was like 2 hours later but still. I love this set! I think its going ot be fun to work with. Lots of possibilities. The cardstock and ink are both from Paper Trey Ink.
Today is supposed to be another BITTER cold day. So if you live anywhere around NE Indiana stay inside if you can but if you have to venture out, dress in layers and dont stay out long. Wind chills could make it feel anywhere from -15 to -25. That is cold!!
Have a great day everyone!

Simple Thinking of You

Morning everyone. Its hump day!! Always great for it to be halfway through the work week! Today I just have a very simple card to share with you. It went together in about 5 minutes. I cant recall where the sentiment came from but its one that I picked up from Michaels for $1. Cant beat those bargain stamps!! After looking at the picture I think I probably should have colored in the flower with my copics. Maybe I will go back and do that now. :)
Hows the weather where everyone is? Today is supposed to be COLD!! And I mean COLD! Single digit high temps today with wind chills below zero. I believe we are supposed to get some snow and then we will have blowing and drifting from the snow we already have. Will make driving on the open country roads a little tricky. So be careful out there!
Have a great day everyone!!

Template Tuesday

Welcome once again to Template Tuesday. I am really enjoying doing these every week. Melinda had her thinking cap on the day she suggested this. Todays template comes from none other than ME! :) I am trying to come up with some different style sketches. Hopefully I get better at it. :) Be sure to check out Melinda, Ami, and Maria's blogs to see what they came up with for this sketch. I am sure they will be wonderful cards. You can find the links to thier blogs over on the right side. And why dont you play along with us this week. If you do, make sure to send me a link so I can check out your card.

Hey Girlfriend

Good morning. Is everyone ready for a new work week? I'm not! LOL! But who ever is? I cant complain. I've only worked 2 full days since Dec 23rd. This will be my first full week of work since my companies shut down. Hopefully it goes well.
This is just a fun little card I made for no other reason than to make one. :) I will need to find someone to send it too. Could it be you? LOL! :) The image is from Inky Antics. And I colored her in with my copics. I am getting ready to purchase more of those. I just dont have enough. :) When do us stampers ever have enough? The saying is from a sentiment set from TAC. :) Yeah Danni I still pull out a set every now and then. :)
Hope everyone has a great day!!

Time to Party!

Hi all! Its early on Sunday morning. Today we get to go to my mom's to celebrate January birthdays. This is the first year that we have done this. My mom normally has a Sunday birthday dinner every month that has a birthday for a grandchild in it. Well all the adults birthdays fall in a month that also has a grandchild in it so thier birthday always gets celebrated also. If you know me at all I am a little whiney and bitchy at family dinners sometimes and I made the statement that we always celebrate everyone elses birthdays but my sister and I never get to celebrate ours with the family because there are no grandchildrens birthdays in January. So this year my mom is having a birthday dinner for us. YAY! :)
I made this card using Winobella. I love her! She is fun to make cards with. I colored her in with my copic markers. The pattern paper and tag are from a collection from TAC. I think maybe the Lilly Anna collection? Not sure.
I hope everyone has a great day!!

Martini Girl

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone is having a great weekend thus far. My day is going to be filled with housework! Yuck! Lots of laundry to catch up on.
This little lady is an image from Inky Antics. I believe I got the saying from Inky Antics also. I colored her in with my copic markers. I have been using those alot lately. To add a little something to the card I punch holes in the corners using that mat from SU. I dont remember what its called or if it even has a name but you probably know what I am talking about. :)
Hope everyone enjoys thier Saturday!

Well Behaved Women

Happy Friday everyone!!! Everyone glad the work week is about over? For me it is over cause I have the day off. :) Dont be jealous! :)
This is another image from Rubbernecker. This is probably my favorite image that I have from them. And the saying is so true. What well behaved woman makes the news? Not very many!! I colored her in with my copic markers. The pattern paper is some stuff I had in my stash. Dont know who makes it. Added a little prima flower with a silver brad to finish it off.
Hope everyone has a great day!!

Love this gal!

Dont ask me why but this lady reminds me of my friend Ami. :) She will love that. I think its just because of the 50's/60's era look to the lady that reminds me of her. She loves that retro stuff.
I love the saying that I got to go with her. All stamps are from Rubbernecker. I really like their stamps and can see myself spending more money there! I colored her in with my copic markers. Added some misc pattern paper, a flower, rhinestone, and some ribbon and we are done! :)
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Ooh La La

Hi everyone. Its hump day! Its really time for me to go back to work today. I know I know, I said I was supposed to go back on Monday. Well the dentist called with a cancellation on Monday so I was only there for about an hour and a half. Then I was off today to finish up the dental work. So, today I really go back to work. I work Wednesday and Thursday and then I am off Friday for my birthday. :) YAY! Very short week. :)
I forget what this gorgeous gals name is but its a stamp from Inky Antics that I got a long time ago and havent used much. I colored her in with my copics. The cardstock is embossed with my swiss dots embossing folder. And its from DCWV. The other cardstock, ink, and ribbon is from PTI. And then the sentiment is one half of a sentiment from Great Impressions.
Hope everyone has a great day! Mine will probably be hectic.

Template Tuesday

Welcome to the first Template Tuesday of 2009. Today's sketch is brought to us by Melinda. For whatever reason this sketch got to me and I still dont think I did the card right. But oh well, its done and I think its a cute card. I used one of my favorite images from Pink Papery Studios. Its a digital image. Who would have thought I would like digital stamping. But with these, you can make the image whatever size you want and print them off. That makes it nice. Make sure to check of the other 3 ladies that play along with the template tuesday. You can find the links to their blogs on the right side bar.

Let's Celebrate!

OK so this morning I am really not in the mood to celebrate. I have to go back to work today! YUCK! But this Bella sure looks like she is ready to celebate! I have missed using my Bellas! I colored her in using my copics. The cardstock and ribbon is from Paper Trey. I also used another one of my polka dot brads from Bazzil. The pattern pattern is from Chatterbox. I have alot of Chatterbox paper laying around that I never seem to grab. And I dont know why. I love it. Hope everyone has a great day today!
