Wishing for relaxing summer days..

This card makes me wish for some of those lazy, relaxing summer days. We got spoiled last week with really warm weather and this weeks its back to our "normal" April weather. But the rest of the week isnt supposed to be too bad! As long as its nice on thursday for volleyball, I am all good! I dont remember where these images are from. Sorry! I stamped them with my black noir palette ink and colored it with my water color pencils and blender pen. The saying is stamped with Clarette palette ink. The hardware is from TAC..sorry its a little crooked in the picture. The pattern paper is just some misc stuff I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

Playing with my new PTI

I got my new paper, ink, and ribbon from PTI on Friday and just got the chance to sit down and play tonight. I didnt get any of the new stamps yet but I love the new colors for April!! They are called Lemon Tart and then something Sunrise but I cant remember the first part of that, lol! Sorry! :) The saying on the card is from the set Out on a Limb from PTI and the main image is from TAC. I hope everyone is having a great Monday! I think I am going to go play some more.

Faux Bleaching

I made this card for a yahoo group that I am a part of. The technique we had to use was faux bleaching. This technique is way better than using bleach and it doesnt stink! :) There were 2 ways to do it and I used the easiest way. I stamped the image with white craft ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I think painted in the image with the same white craft ink. I blotted the ink with a paper towel as I went. I think the technique is a really cool one and you get a great effect! If you havent tried it, I definitely recommend it.

Ami's Flower Challenge

So I finally sat down to make a card tonight just for the fun of it. YAY for me! As I was putting this card together I remembered Ami's flower challenge and so I chose this image to use. They arent my favorite flower as I dont really have one but they are flowers so they work, right? And Danni I didnt use TAC images but that is TAC pattern paper so that counts also. :) Hope everyone is having a good week so far. Today is Earth Day so we had a "clean up the yard" at work today. We got to spend a couple hours outside. I chose to wear a gray and orange tshirt and was cleaning up the trees that run along a major street. I told the people working with me that we look like the jail folks out doing community service because I had the orange jail color on and we were leaving the bags on the sidewalk as we moved down the line of trees. :) Just like the jail folks do. :) But it was a great couple hours out in the sunshine! AND sand volleyball starts up again on Thursday at my church! Super excited about that. Ami you must come play! Thats my challenge to you! :)

Back from Nashville

Hi everyone, I am back from Nashville. I had the best time ever and definitely was sad to come back! Monday night at the CMT awards red carpet was the best time. Tim McGraw got out of his limo right in front of us and oh my is that man really beautiful! :) This is a picture of Charlie (our traveling Patriots garden gnome), myself, and the doorman at Legends Corner who Haley and I named Cowboy Bill. He's the most handsome doorman in Nashville! I am slowly getting back in the reality routine and may get back to stamping this weekend. We shall see! Hope everyone has a great Friday!

New Kids on the Block....yeah I was crying!

I watched New Kids on the Block this morning on the Today's Show and heard them talk about their album coming out in May and their tour they will be doing in the fall. Can you say EXCITED???!!!!! I will admit here to all my blogger friends that literally had tears in my eyes watching them. LOL! My sister called me while I was watching them and I could barely talk on the phone. There were no complete sentences. :) I loved these guys growing up and am SO excited that they are back together for at least one album and a tour!! I am also up for driving just about anywhere to see them this fall! But I am hoping they come somewhere fairly close to me! :) Cause I will be there! YAY! :)

These are 5 blogs that I check out on a regular basis. They are all talented ladies and I love looking to them for inspiration!! Check out their work!

Look what I finally got....

My son was in a car accident back in December with my mom. I told him that if he got any settlement out of it then we would buy a Wii. I have been keeping my eyes and ears open because I knew that he would be getting a check soon. I called Wal-Mart on my way home yesterday and asked when their next truck was with some Wii's on it and he said that currently had 3 of them. I was SO happy and drove a little faster to get there. My son was SO excited when he saw what I had brought home! We played it all night long! Silly mom even got up a little early this morning so she would have time to play before work. This is an amazing gaming system and I am so glad I finally found one. Now what the heck do I do with the DS he has, the Ps2 and the PSP he has? LOL! I am thinking for awhile, none of those systems will be touched!
