Is it Fall yet?

I promise I am not trying to rush summer but fall is my favorite time of year. The bon fires, leaves changing colors, cool weather, football games, hayrides, oh the list could go on and on. I cant wait for football season to start. Its almost here. Time for Friday night football games. I love Halloween! I love making cards and Halloween projects. This turtle is SO cute. Its from Inky Antics. I havent pulled out my Inky Antics stamps in so long! They have been missed! I colored this guy in with my watercolor pencils and blender pen. I stamped the "boo" all over the black background paper. Adhered that to the orange base. Layered my turtle on purple paper, tied the ribbon around it and adhered it to the card. Simple. Thanks for looking and have a great night!

Monday's really drag on....

Does anyone else's Monday's just seem to drag on and on? For the last year and a half I have been on 36 hours a week instead of 40 at work. Monday's are my 8 hour day and they just seem to drag on. Who would have though one hour in a day could go so slow! But it does. Especially when you have nothing to do. Work is caught up, phone isnt ringing. Boring!
I made this card using TAC's set called Rose Garden. I am really liking this set. I made the background using a diamond stamp from TAC and just stamped it continously. That is why its a little crooked. I then highlighted one side of the diamond with my white pen. It was a really simple card to put together. I think it looks simple and elegant.
Thanks for looking and have a good night!

Who loves those Bella's?

My nice quiet weekend is just about over. My husband and kids have been at his sister's taking care of his mom and watching our nephew this weekend. The Brickyard 400 just ended so my SIL and BIL will be home soon and then the family will be back. And btw, Tony Stewart won the race!! Couldnt have been anyone bet Stewart? Just not a fan of his. Anyway, this is an ATC that I made using Winobella. Its for a swap that I am participating in. I havent played with my Bella's ina long time. It was fun to pull them out. Actually my friend Ami has been holding them hostage since I dont pull them out much. So I went to her house and we made our ATC's together since she is in the same swap.

An update on my sister for those that wished her well: She is still in the hospital, well actually they moved her to a mental health place where she can receive the care that she needs. She has been there since Saturday evening and is doing as well as can be expected.

Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Finally Firday.....

Today has been one heck of a day!! We had an emergency with my younger sister and I spent the day at the ER. Who else hates the ER? That has to be the worst place to spend a day! My sister is still there and hopefully she gets the help she needs and is able to come home and live a better life for her and for her son. I made this carad using TAC's new paper line called Amelia. This paper line has such nice deep, rich colors. I love it!! I also used one of their new stamps sets called Rose Garden. I am not much of a rose person but I really love this set and will be using it often. Well, its been a long day. I am going to go let the dog in and go to bed. Have a good evening and thanks for looking!

Birthday Wishes...

July is a big month for birthday's in my family. And I have been SO busy that I forgot 4 of them!! I am feeling pretty bad!! But luckily I was able to make it up to them because my mom had us all over on Sunday for a birthday celebration so I was able to give out cards and presents. Better late than never, right?! Thats what I think. I made this card tonight for my mom. Her birthday is next week on Friday so I am all ready!! As long as I dont forget to mail it! The cardstock is Cool Carribean and Kraft from SU. The pattern paper is the new Hemingway from TAC. I love that paper. The ribbon is the new coordinating Hemingway ribbon. Although from TAC it is a perfect match to the Cool Carribean cardstock. You can tell that much better IRL. The scan doesnt show the true color IMO. I cut the Kraft cardstock to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. The Cool Carribean is then cut 8 1/4 x 5 1/4 and is the "card". Its layered on the Kraft cardstock. Enjoy and thanks for looking!

I love the new TAc paper!!!

I made this card using the new Mimi paper from TAC. I really love this collection with the browns, pinks and greens! Its awesome paper! I used SU's chocolate chip cardstock as my base. I punch the side of the paper with the punch from SU. I dont remember what its called. Oops! Then stamped my image with Versamagic dew drops and added ink to the edge of the paper. I stamped the sentiment with the same ink on a tag from the Mimi collection. Added an eyelet and adhered it all together. I like how it came out. Thanks for looking!

Its been awhile.....

Well, its been awhile since I posted. ooopsss! I havent posted since I left for the TAC seminar. It was a fun time but a little overwelming. I also discovered that I am a major homebody! I think the next time I go, I will bring the family along. They can explore the city while I am at seminar. Anyway, while at seminar, I won all the new paper from TAC. This is a frame that I did using some of that paper. I bought a wooden frame from Wal-Mart and painted it. I then used Modge Podge to adhere the paper on it. Next step was to tie the ribbon on. The stamps are from the set "Doodle This" from SU. I stamped 2 flowers, used my water color pencils and blender pen, glued them together and then added silver stickles to the center. Adhered that to a piece of Cool Carribean cardstock and viola! Frame is done. I will be hanging this in my bedroom. I loved making the frame. So simple! Thanks for looking!
