Almost time for seminar...

I leave for the TAC seminar tomorrow evening. I am getting a little excited. More nervous about flying than anything. I didnt have time to make any new creations so I am sharing this card that I made for my sister back in Jan. She donated a kidney to my step dad and this was a thank you. Pattern paper and the "thank you" image are from TAC. I bought the chipboard T at Archivers. Everyone have a great week and I will see you when I get back.

My First try at digital.....

I am borrowing my sister's camera for the TAC seminar so I decided to play with taking pictures of my cards. I think this one turned out a little dark but not too bad. I will have to play a little more. I made this card using TAC's July SOTM "Stand Tall". You can purchase this set the month of July for $6.95 with a $30 purchase. I colored the elephant in with my watercolor pencils and blender pen. Also used my scalloped circle. The saying says "Thanks a Ton."
Only 2 days until I leave TAC's seminar. I am getting kind of nervous about flying. I am not a good passenger until we are up in the air. Its only an hour and twenty minute or so flight so its not bad. Hopefully it will go fast. And Melinda, I promise not to squeeze your arm or anything. :)
Everyone have a great day!! Thanks for looking.

Out of my comfort zone....

The other day I made this card that is SO out of my comfort zone. I dont ever make cards that are primarily white. I normally like lots of color so it was hard not to add it to this card. Stamps are "Doodle This" from SU. My first card using this set. The saying is from Hero Arts. I stamped the flowers are on a piece of patterned paper from TAC and cut the out. I stamped the swirls on the white cardstock and then glued the flowers on. Added the ribbon and saying and thats it. Quick and easy. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

TGIF!

Is anyone else happy it's finally Friday? This week has gone so slow! I am sure its because I am on vacation next week. Wanna bet that next week is gonna fly by? Of course it will.
I think I am finally done making my trades and such for the TAC seminar. Now I just have to pack and I will be ready. Tonight we are going back to Hoagland Days. They have a good band playing in the entertainment tent and my son and I will watch. He likes to listen to them and get up and dance. Its a band that plays the oldies and there are mostly older people there but we have fun.
I made this card last night. I have had this TAC stamp set for almost a year and have never used it so I thought it was time to get it out. Unfortunately the scan didnt come out too good. This makes me want a digital camera even more. There is a saying stamped at the bottom that says "moo-chas gracias." I colored the cow image with my water color pencils and blender pen. I think its a fun, cute card.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!! Hopefully I will get some more new creations done this weekend and post some more. But with all the activities at Hoagland Days, you never know. Thanks for taking a look!

My favorite weekend is almost here...

This coming weekend, actually starting tonight, is one of my favorites all year. I live near a small town called Hoagland, IN and this weekend is Hoagland Days. They have the best food tent ever! All the local high school sporting teams, some local churches, and others all have stations set up with different types of food. Its way better than the carnival food you normally see at festivals. My favorite is from the band boosters. They make taco salads and lemon shake ups. For both, its under $5. You cant beat it. I eat one for supper Thurs, Fri and Saturday night. I wait all year for them and its all I have talked about this week. :) I asked my son what was for supper tonight and he said "Pizza Hut." That's because he will get pizza from the cheerleaders. :) But he knows what mom is having. :) I love this festival so much that if TAC's seminar would have fallen on this weekend, like it did last year, I would have stayed home. I wont miss this festival. :) I am making it sound likes there is only food there, but there are lots of activities. We have rides for the kids, games, a merchant tent, demolition derbies, volleyball and basketball tournaments, a parade, and so much more. All kinds of fun!

This card I made was for a sketch challenge. I used TAC's Rustic Chic paper and SU's chocolate chip cardstock. Stamps are from TAC. And then the prima flowers and brads.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Soccer is almost over.....

Has it really been 4 days since I have posted? Geesh, where does the time go? I have been busy with soccer season which is over this week. I coach a team and both my kids are on teams so that is 3 practices and 3 games a week. The last couple of days I have been working on end of the year presents for my girls. Today I am sharing a card and a scrapbook page that I did for a TAC contest awhile ago. The contest was called "Card to Crop" where you make a card and a scrapbook page using the same layout. This is what I came up with.

A Little Sassy!

Good Thursday Morning to everyone! I am so glad the week is almost over. I have been slowly working on my trades for the TAC seminar at the end of June so I didnt get any new cards made last night. I thought I would share one I made a while ago. All stamps are from TAC. I want to say the set's name is "A Little Sassy" but I dont think thats the name. I started with a light lavender card base. I stamped the saying all over randonly on the cream card stock and then ripped it apart. I used my eyelet hole punch to punch holes in the paper and then tied the purple polka dot ribbon through them and attached it to the card base. I stamped the lady on cream cardstock and layer her on a darker purple and attached it to the card. Quick and simple. Hope you enjoy. Thanks for looking! :)

My baby boy

Good morning everyone! I didnt get a chance to make any cards last night so I thought I would share an older scrapbook page that I made of my son when he was born. He was born at 26 weeks weighing 2lbs 6ozs. He was in the hospital for 3 months. He came home the day before his due date. He had alot of problems and a few surgeries while in the hospital. This next school year he will start 3rd grade. He has been through alot in 8 years but he is a trooper! Such a sweet, fun, sensitive boy to be around. And the weight he is now, you would never know he started at only 2lbs, lol! The page is just a simple page using stickers and some embellishments from KI Memories. Hope you enjoy. Have a great day!!

All About Me..

This is a 8 x 8 scrapbook page that I made for the TAC seminar that I am attending at the end of this month. At least I think its for that. They wanted scrapbook pages focusing on yourself. This is what I came up with. You were supposed to use all TAC products but I didnt have any of the current embellishments so I used some ribbon and flowers that arent TAC. I also used the SU word window punch. Thanks for looking!!

Thank you Steve

This is the card that I gave the bus driver with a gift card in it for the gas station. I received this awesome card from a friend named Julia. We are on a yahoo group together and we had to make a card with the Joseph's Coat technique. She did an awesome job and I received it right on time to give to the bus driver! Thanks Julia!

Hello Friend!

Good morning and Happy Tuesday!! Today is the kid's last day of school. I waited until the last minute to do the teacher gifts and I ended up just buying some bath and shower items so they can relax in a nice bubble bath! I also bought the bus driver a gift card to the gas station because he has been such an awesome driver! My son has some difficulties getting on and off the bus and he has been great about helping him so I wanted to make sure to thank him.

I made this card for a group I am on. We were supposed to make something with doodles or swirls. Both stamp sets are from TAC. Started with a pink card base and scalloped the edge with my SU corner rounder and added black dots. I then scalloped the edge of the black cardstock and stamped the images with versamagic chalk ink. Then tied the pink/black checked ribbon on as a finishing touch.
